Compline with Story & Sound

. . . a unique and special event and experience, in spiritual collusion with one of Santa Barbara’s most sacred spaces, with the city’s most treasured pipe organ eloquently put through fresh paces.

Compline with Story & Sound is 7-8pm the first Sunday of the month.

Compline is a monastic service. It's the last gathering of the day before silence is kept for the duration of the night until morning.

This compline service at Trinity is led by the Rev. Sarah Thomas. It is made of thirty minutes of rest and reflection through synthesized sound by DJ artist, Andrew Elia, then a transition with loose leaf brewed herbal tea, and concluding with the opportunity to hear a person share a personal story understood as the sacred text that is our bodies moving through the world.
Compline happens in the sanctuary. Incense and candlelight are used during the service.
