In California, 720,000 people over the age of 65 are living with Alzheimer's disease and these numbers continue to climb. This factoid means that many individuals and families are, have been, or will be walking a journey that is incredibly challenging and often misunderstood. How can Trinity serve as a community of welcome and connection to those who find themselves on this path?
Please join us for an adult formation series about dementia, caregiving, and what it means to be a “dementia-friendly” church. This series will be held in the Guild Hall on three Sundays: Feb 16, 23, and March 2. It will be co-facilitated by parishioner Phylene Wiggins and Joe Wheatley (a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association) and will feature practical information and ways that Trinity can support people with dementia and their families.
